The Deptford Township Police Department operates a full-time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, uniformed Patrol Division.  Our officers are committed to providing the highest level of professional service to our community at all times.  The Patrol Division is currently staffed with Officers in a five team formation as well as a dedicated Anti-Crime Team.  They are assigned to cover the entire geographic area of our Township 24 hours a day.  These Officers work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our resident and visiting population.

Officers in Patrol Division provide emergency and general services for a variety of call for service, and in 2008 they answered in excess of 45,000 calls for service.  The Patrol Division also works to enforce the Motor Vehicle Code of the State to ensure the safety of our motoring public.  Deptford residence and our visiting guests can rest assure that the Patrol Division stands ready to assist them in their times of need and in general.  We are a service oriented Division with our focus on the prevention, detection, and apprehension of criminal offenders.  Moreover, we are always available to assist our public with a variety of non-emergency issues and will try our best to serve your needs relative to our resources.

The Patrol Division function is the backbone of any modern police force and our department is committed to maintaining this priority.  The police department in cooperation with local government is focusing its resources and priorties on our patrol division function and will continue to do so in the interest of public safety.

Currently, our officers are working many directed patrols and public safety initiatives in the interest of specific and general community concerns for public safety and "quality of life" concerns.  We will continue this committment and would like all residents to work with us to make this community the safest place in the county.  We would like to encourage participation of all citizens when witnessing suspicious activity or criminal behavior.  If our citizens make every effort possible to get involved in solving our problems; we can develop and maintain partnerships with community leaders and citizens that have real affects on public safety.

    Thank you.
