BUILDING SAFER COMMUNITIES THROUGH EDUCATION

D.A.R.E. PROGRAM

Drug Abuse Resistance Education

The Deptford Police Department is committed to building a safer community through education and investing in educating our youth about the devasting effect drugs have on addicted individuals and society in general.  Our police department, in a partnership with the Deptford Township Board of Education has been educating all fifth grade students in our district in the D.A.R.E. program and found this program to be an invaluable means for presenting the message that drug use is not the right choice.  We have also found this program is a great way for our uniformed police officers to get to know the youngsters in our community and develop a real positive relationship that lasts for many years.
