PUBLIC NOTICE

  DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP

TAX SALE FOR UNPAID REAL ESTATE TAXES

 

 

        NOTICE is hereby given on November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Deptford Township Municipal Building, 1011 Cooper Street, Deptford, in the first floor Conference Room that I, Christine A. Helder, Certified Tax Collector of the Township of Deptford, pursuant to the provisions of the Tax Sale Law, Title 54, Chapter 5, Revised Statutes of New Jersey, will sell at public auction all of the land  and real estate, on which taxes,  other municipal charges (including Municipal Utilities Authority charges for water and/or sewer) remain unpaid for the year 2011 and prior.  Said properties will be sold subject to redemption at the lowest rate of interest, but in no case exceeding 18% per annum.

 

        Purchasers will be required to pay cash, money order or certified check for the municipal liens chargeable against each parcel of land purchased by them, prior to the conclusion of the sale, or the property will be resold. 

 

        REQUIRED NOTICE AND DISCLOSURE - Industrial properties may be subject to the Spill Compensation and Control Act (N.J.S.A 58:10-23.11 et seq.), the Water Pollution Control Act (N.J.S.A. 58:10A-1 et seq.) and the Industrial Site Recovery Act (N.J.S.A. 13:1K-6 et seq.)  In addition, the Township is precluded from issuing a tax sale certificate to any prospective purchaser who is or may be, in any way connected to the prior owner of the site.

 

        IN THE EVENT THE OWNER IS ON ACTIVE DUTY WITH THE MILITARY, THE TAX COLLECTOR SHOULD BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY.

 

        THE NAMES SHOWN ARE AS THEY APPEAR IN THE LAST DUPLICATE AND DO NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THAT THE PARTIES ARE THE PRESENT OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY.

 

        Payment of the amount due on any parcel may be made before the sale by payment of the amount due as advertised, together with the interest and costs incurred up to the time of payment, whereupon the pending sale will be cancelled.  ONLY CASH, MONEY ORDER OR CERTIFIED CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN ORDER TO BE REMOVED FROM THE TAX SALE.
